Gene Upshaw, 63, a Hall of Fame football player and longtime NFL Players Association executive director has died after a fight with pancreatic cancer, according to sources. Gene Upshaw was an 11-time All-Pro with the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders from 1967 until 1981 and has been Executive Director of the National Football League Players Association since June 1983. Upshaw is survived by his wife, Terri, and sons, Justin, Daniel and Eugene Jr.
