Miami Dolphins Outlook: Miami Dolphins

Jets-Dolphins. A game i enjoy watching, but with a large knot in my stomach. We have lost 8 of the last 9 games we have played them if I recall correctly. So what does it take to beat these pesky J-E-T-S JETS!?!?

For one, we need to give Pennington more time to throw the ball and Sunday was proof of that. Pennington came out strong (after his initial hiccup, which he later confessed to pre-game jitters), but fell off for most of the game due to a collapsing pocket. Now maybe I shouldn't be so hard on our O-Line considering we have 2 rookies and a second year center, but we have to learn how to play as one and learn quickly. Jake had two crucial penalties against him which really deflated our offensive drives, but that wasn't the reason why we came up short.

What the hell was wrong with our special teams and kicking the ball 20yds or out of bounds!?!! Stupid mistakes that have to drive Sparano crazy! Ricky and Ronnie never really got off to a start b/c they played us like they knew our playbook. What surprised me the most is how they literally took Ginn Jr. out of our offensive scheme all-together. We need to bounce back, and FAST!

I feel that we can come away with a win at Arizona, but it won't be easy. Our DB's are going to have a hell of a time matching up with their deep threats and our run defense looked anything, but great against a mediocre running team. It will only get worse against James if we don't correct our mistakes.

All in all I am dissapointed, yet unsurpirsed that we lost. Miami has been the same team for the last 5-6 years and although we have much improved on paper, we will need to come together on the field if we are to break out of this slump.
