Packers QB Aaron Rodgers says in an interview with NBC Sports that the Packers have given him the "vote of confidence" as their new starting quarterback. Asked his thoughts when learning Brett Favre wants to return, Rodgers said "the same thing that for the last three years I've been training myself to do, and that is that things I can't control...(are) out of my control. This offseason I prepared myself to be the starter, and until that changes, that's my focus." There are growing rumors that if Favre does return to the Packers he might be given a chance to compete to start.
