Buffalo Bills Toronto Bills unveil logo for games

Bills unveil Toronto series logo

The Buffalo Bills and the Rogers Centre have unveiled a Bills Toronto Series logo that will be featured on patches placed on the team's home uniform for all eight games played at Rogers Centre as part of the series over the next five years. The new mark features artistic elements of Rogers Centre, CN Tower and the Bills signature mark, the charging buffalo. -- Buffalo News

I didn't know it was 8 games in 5 years. Dang. They really are going to move there full time. ;)

Yep their going to move there. Im not surprised, Toronto is a wonderful city, with a great fanbase and I'm sure that they will enjoy football just as much as people from Buffalo. It kind of sucks for people who live in Buffalo since its about a 2 hour drive from Buffalo to Rogers Centre I believe. The logo seems kind of cheesy though, lol. Hopefully they can spice it up a bit or something.

I think Toronto is the only canadien city that should have professional teams in major sports. Its a very clean city with wonderful attractions, and its basically 3 hours driving from buffalo to toronto so thats not bad at all.

That and the fact that after Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, it's the 5th largest city in North America. Size matters!!

This might as well be the preview for the Bills moving to Toronto.
I mean they might as well have an NFL franchise.
They have the Blue Jays in MLB.
The Raptors in the NBA.
And the Maple Leafs in the NHL.
They got 3 of the main 4 American sports.
Might as well add an NFL team.
I mean a Canadian team in the NFL wouldn't be so strange.
San Antonio had a Canadian Football League team back in the 90's.

I work for an agency representing Rogers Communications in Toronto, and I’m only here to get the word out about tickets for the Bills Toronto Series games at Rogers Centre in 2008. The pre-season game is August 14 against the Steelers, and the regular-season game is December 7 against the Dolphins. Rogers is making a limited selection of tickets available to the public on Tuesday, July 15. Purchase single game tickets or two game tickets. They’ll only be available here, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

I have a ton of family in Buffalo and they are PISSED at this shit. Bills fans are pretty fucking die-hard, and come from blue collar roots. That city would collapse if they left.

Toronto is where the money is and sports is about money. Putting an expansion team in Toronto as oppose to moving the Bills won't work. Part of the Bills fan base comes from Toronto. Putting a team in Toronto would further erode the Bills financially and would cause them to relocate anyway. The only viable option is for the Bills to move to Toronto so they would make more money and this would enable them to sign and keep better talent which would enable them to better compete (on the field) with the other teams in the league. The amount of money the Bills would make in Toronto is astronomical when compared to Buffalo. They could stand to make 300-400% more in Toronto. PSL licenses, merchandise, ticket prices. The majority of this would be through corporate sponsorship. The numbers I've heard for the 1 game in Toronto = 3 games in Buffalo (profit).

I know this is troubling to hear for the people of Buffalo but it is merely fact. The area of western New York continues to lose their population base and their financial tax base. There aren't as many opportunities there as before and the stats bear this out. Kids that go away to college and graduate find jobs in other parts of the country (i.e. Phoenix, North Carolina, Florida, New York, etc.)and never return to Western NY. It's not just Western NY, its that whole region (the Steel Belt i.e. Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland) but Western NY is suffering the worst.

I live in Toronto but a lifelong Giant's season ticketholder.

The prices for the Giants PSL licenses for their new stadium (2010) will cost from$1,000-$20,000 per seat plus the cost of the season tickets of $160 per game, per seat. These prices are out of reach for the average person but to a corporation it's merely a writeoff. Attending sports game is fast becoming a luxury of the rich but are the times we live in. On a positive note, it is better to pass on the costs to the sports fan than to the average citizen (i.e. raising sales taxes).
