Coach Eric Mangini decided that two series and 14 plays are enough for quarterback Brett Favre in his New York Jets debut. Starting his first preseason game only a week after having his first practice with the team, Favre completed five of six passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. His final throw was a four-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Dustin Keller.
