Browns WR Jurevicius to miss first 6 weeks of season

Is it just me or has Jurevicius been constantly injured since he left Seattle for Cleveland?

CLEVELAND (AP) Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius will miss the first six weeks of the regular season while he recovers from knee surgery.

The Browns placed Jurevicius on the physically-unable-to-perform list Tuesday.

Jurevicius had swelling and discomfort in his right knee related to a previous operation and needed another procedure in June to further clean it out.

After the sixth week of the season, the Browns have three weeks to allow Jurevicius to start practicing. Once he begins practicing, the Browns will have another three weeks to make a decision on his roster status.

Jurevicius had 50 catches for 614 yards and three touchdowns last season.

I remember liking Joe since he was drafted here, he played during our resurrection years and in that Super Bowl. His role is a little deflated, but he's a big body for a slot receiver there and fits in well with the tall Edwards and speedy Stallworth.
