Mike Hampton, Kevin Brown and Darren Dreifort think that was a stupid signing.

Hampton and dreifort had all the talent in the world. sometimes these guys just don't stay healthy. pavano on the other hand, was never all that special to begin with. as for kevin brown, his deal had fail written all over it.

lol, i remember when pavano got signed. My friend was like DUDE we got pavano, he kicks ass!!! And all I said was he's only had 1 really good year and that was his contract year. And guess who was right baby!!!! lol

It's funny how that 2003 Marlins team and their starting rotation have gone since then.

Pavano and Clement have been huge busts (along with being injury prone). AJ Burnett has been hit or miss and has had some injuries. Penny and Beckett have gotten to be very good pictures however.

Beckett to be fair had a good season last year. He hasnt really showed that consisitency this year

while true, you'd be absolutely out of your mind to think beckett is not one of the leagues elite pitchers.

i remember all the flack the dodgers (paul depodesta especially) took for the deal that brought penny over from the dodgers. in retrospect, it was one of the better deals they've made in recent years (along with the ethier/bradley deal).

I don't think Clement will ever be back in the majors...

He just doesn't seem to look like he has that drive that others do. Kinda like... well, I made my money. PEACE!
