MLB to implement replay review on HRs by August 1st - The Postgame Pub

MLB will be implementing the HR replay review on questionable Fair/Foul HR calls. Just heard it on WFAN and its over the AP right now

This is a good move because this year already had to many missed HR calls

When everyone was saying, "I can't believe they don't have instant replay," it was understandable. Because I can't remember in my time covering/watching sports, there being this many missed calls. Glad to see it's getting implemented, I just hope they test it on the minors, so they can do it quickly and effectively so they don't extend the game.

Yea I agree. It shouldn't take more than like 3 minutes if used to review a play. Finally they implement this rule! Hopefully it will affect important games in the postseason when needed.

stupidest f***ing thing ever. jesus christ i hate bud selig. let's totally eliminate the human element from the game while we're at it. let's replace umpires with pitch tracker, pitchers with atec pitching machines, the outfield with a really big net, and we'll stick hula hoops in the infield to call outs with. this is f***ing ridiculous.

it's only for HR calls on plays where the call could go either way. Im for it.
Fucking Arod blasts a homerun over the right centerfield wall hits the staircase and karoms(sp) back onto the field and they call it a double.....sorry man, but in a playoff game or WS that call needs to be right.
