this is true for the most part, but sometimes guys will sneak in there only because of their names rather than their year.

that is the big problem with the all star game...the better player doesnt always get teh start....Jeter is only a starter because he is the most popular

Someone said on here that the pro bowl was better to watch. I dont believe thats true, in the Pro Bowl they dont even try. Its just a scoring fest which for me isnt as fun as defenses rlly making plays. The ASG also has more at stake which makes it more interesting to watch.

well in a MAN'S sport with contact and violence like football, they prefer the Pro Bowl to not allow blitzing and emphasize throwing the ball more. Plus all the players are vacationing in Hawaii, why bother getting angry and putting on your game face and playing ball?

But I think it is an insult that Lincecum didn't get the ball for the ASG.
