Bonds will probably hit 30-35hrs this year. Do I want him to break the record? No. Why? Because there is just too big of a steroid cloud over his head, and in the end, thats what everyone is going to think about.
It's a shame because he was a HoFer even before he went on the sauce Last edited by Chubz; 04-08-2007 at 02:20 PM. |

I hope the teams get together and just walk him every time after he gets close. It's not as if SF has anyone else batting behind him that really can scare anyone.
Now this fool is going to wear 42 to commemorate Jackie Robinson. What a joke. |

He's been a complete shithead since he entered the MLB. He came in and was a grade A jackass because he thought he was baseball royalty (good ballplayer in his father and one of the greatest in his godfather) and acted like a jerk.
Fans don't like him, the media doesn't like him, his teammates have never liked him, managers have said he's a Prima Donna, etc. He's the epitome of the self absorbed jackass athelte. |

true, yet one has to acknowledge the man's incredible ability.
what is funny, is that when jeff kent spent time with the giants organization, he was always the voice of the team vs. barry bonds. remember all the well-publicized arguments, conflicts etc.? jeff kent was the epitome of a team player; he was the man everybody went to when bonds exposure was rubbing them the wrong way, when his attitude was negatively affecting the club, and the one who went to bat for them (both metaphorically and literally). and yet, when i attended the dodgers v. giants game last week, kent was scolded by fans, cursed at, booed, etc. apparently these idiots don't remember the team player he was, and how we was such a positive influence on the organization, their fan base, and bay area baseball. oh yea, and i think he won an mvp too. what a bunch of douches. i can't think of another fan base that would treat an ex-player who did so much for them that way. off topic, but your statement just brought me back to thinking about this. |
