I'm going with Cliff Lee and Tim Lincecum. Are they filthy or what this year? Tim leads the NL in K's and ERA and Lee leads in the league in wins and has a 2.36 ERA in comparison to K-rod's 2.38 ERA. What Lee has been able to do this year as opposed to other years is that he is throwing his fastball for strikes early in the count which has helped set up his breaking stuff. His 1.07 WHIP is great as well when you analyze that hitters are lifetime batting .306 against Lee. TIm has 17 wins which is incredible considering just how bad the Giants are. The Giants are 17 games under .500 and Tim is 17-3. Only 4 pitchers have been able to do that ever.

As much as I'd like to see the kid Lincecum win it, being on the Giants is also a factor that can hold him back. I feel like every year they go mostly by the wins category, so they will probably end up giving it to Brandon Webb.

If Tiny Tim wins today he has 18 wins in comparison to Webb's 21. I know wins plays a key roll in the voting, but we must also analyze the type of dominating season that Lincecum has had. Webb had 4 pretty bad outings that dropped his ERA to almost a point higher than Lincecum. I can see Webb getting it, but Tim deserves it.
