Im picking the Cubs, they're bench is the deepest in the league and that bullpen is very good.

I'm taking the Cubs also because of that deep starting rotation. Dempster, Zambrano, Lilly, Marquis, Harden. Any one of them are great when they're on, and can also occasionally swing the bat.

I dont really see that Ace in the Dodgers which they will need when the playoffs start. Its all about that ace, and I just don't feel the Dodgers have a true #1.

Now that we're here, the postseason combinations are replete with story lines.
Can the 97-64 Cubs win the World Series for the first time in 100 years? How will the 90-72 Brewers fair in their first postseason trip since losing in seven games in the 1982 World Series? Can the 92-70 Phillies win the World Series for only the second time in franchise history and first since beating the Royals in 1980? Can the 84-78 Dodgers win a second playoff game since they defeated the A's in the 1988 World Series (they've only won one since then)? Can the Angels, who won 100 games for the first time in franchise history, win a second World Series six years after defeating the Giants in seven games to win their first? Can the 97-65 Rays compete in their first postseason tournament in the club's 11-year history? Can the Red Sox become the first team since the 1998-2000 Yankees to repeat? And can the White Sox force the second one-game tiebreaker for a playoff spot in as many seasons (the Rockies defeated the Padres to win the NL Wild Card in a one-gamer last year that ended in the 13th inning)? |

I'll be making in depth analysis in the form of blogs for each postseason matchup today , except for the Rays and Twins/White Sox since they are playing today. So be tuned in for that.
