I've noticed this for several broadcasts in a row now, but really noticed it today with the Yanks/Sox. I know everyone (SC, FOX ect.) uses them in promos or ads.
But for the last several broadcasts I've noticed a distict and exaggerated "bat-on-ball" sound when players swing and miss. At first I thought it could be when a ball is just barely tipped, but that is clearly not the case. It doesn't happen on every swing and miss and I've heard it when the ball was in the dirt so its not the catchers mitt either. Anyone else notice this or am I just imagining things? Edit: Just happened on the last pitch of the Cano strikeout. |

I dont doubt this at all. Execs sit in rooms and try and "capture" everything exciting about everything.
Suits just dont get it. |
