Said Jorge Posada: “You guys saw the replays. That’s all I have to say.”

Mariners scored that run from second to tie the game up

That wasn't even close..cost the game. Oh well, it all evens out in the end. Everyone gets gifts and unfair calls.

MLB needs an instant reply type structure and I don't know why they haven't instituted something by now.

i laughed my ass of, repeating "well, at least the yanks can't buy the umps". while i think instant replay would be detrimental to baseball, i have to admit, this was one of the worst calls in recent memory. i'm sure cano would have had some choice words for the ump... if he could only "speake de ingles".

That wasn't his job to do. Mattingly should have been out there the instant he called him out.

you're right. i was simply referring to cano's reaction after he was called safe. i've made that same reaction many times during games, and have a good idea of what was going through his head. have to give it to cano for keeping his cool though.

i like the fact that theres no instant replay. every major sport has it now and it takes away the human flaw. i like the fact that theres stuff like this happening...it makes the game interesting

Baseball is a traditionalists love for the most part. Like was said, the human flaw is part of the game. Baseball wasn't meant to be played to a T with no error. Calls are blown, it happens althought this was really bad!
