well just like the title says...if you have to chose between Kobe or Lebron to build a team around...
THIS IS BETWEEN THESE 2 GUYS IF YOU DONT WANT EITHER AND DONT HAVE A SOLID ANSWER THEN PLEASE DONT ANSWER!!!! Regardless of Lebron being younger i would have to chose Kobe....his attitude has been getting better as he gets older and his numbers speak for themselves..... Lebron is a great player and is one of the best in the NBA but i would want to have Kobe for the soul fact that he has the experince in the playoffs and championships under his belt.....

Kobe Bryant. I'm not even a Kobe fan but let's be honest here. Kobe's more refined offensively. Both somewhat faltered in crucial spots in the playoffs too.
Lebron needs a more consistant jumpshot. He reminds me more a D Wilkins type of player than anything. Definitly not a Jordan. |

Lebron in a second for me. I think he uses his teamates much better then Kobe. He trusts the 12th man on the roster. His passing skills are better then Bryants as well. He doesn't have the jumpshot that Kobe does but led the league in scoring last season AND shot a better fg% then Kobe. So technically he is more productive offensively.
He also averaged more rebounds, assists, blocks. He may not be the closer that Kobe is, but he is no slouch in the clutch. And to top it all off the man is 23 years old. He is physically much stronger then Kobe also which allows him to get to the hole anytime he wants. Kobe settles for alot of jumpshots. |

Lebron any day. First off hes got a big body and hes super strong. Hes 6'8 250 thats rediculous. Hes got better ups and a better post game than kobe. Plus lebron is the better passer. Kobe does have an unstopable jumper, but lebron has a nice jumper as well when hes on point. Lebron plays better defense as well. Lebrons the full package everything you need. Hes only missing a team. Kobe had the team this year and he choked. Plus lebron is 24 and still developing and Kobe is 30 in his prime and Lebron is still better.

They didn't choke but Kobe was exposed. With all the talk of him being the greatest player on the planet, he did nothing. Paul Pierce outplayed him the entire series. He looked like an ordinary player out there at times. Even in the last game, he really did nothing.

paul pierce outplayed kobe cuz of his "injury" and then the crowd helped him play better after that
plus the celtics really hav a better big three cuz theyre all allstars at one point of their career idk bout odom but i dont think hes been in an all star game while all big three of boston have been an all star a lot of times each pau - i think been in all star team once kobe - always in the all star odom - never pierce, allen, kg- all been in an all star game... a bunch of times each |

With the fatigue argument you also need to factor in the fact the the Celtics had a 7 game series with the Hawks and the Cavs, and then a 6 game series with the very good defense of Detroit while the Lakers had a sweep in the first round and a 5 game conference finals.
I'd have to take LeBron for doing more with less. A very young guy that made it to the Finals with a lesser supporting cast, and got swept by a very good and seasoned Spurs team. As long as he saw the top of the mountain, he now knows what it takes to get over. I definitely see him winning a championship eventually (in New York) |

The Crowd helped him player better? LOL. Thats a bunch of media Bullshit. This is the NBA finals. You don't need things to motivate you other then the Trophy. If Kobe got outplayed by Pierce because of Pauls injury then Kobe has problems. Paul Pierce was the better player the entire series. Period. There are no excuses in the NBA finals. Kobe didn't show up. |
