Chad Johnson might report to the Bengals in time for the mandatory minicamp next week.
In a story he wrote as guest editor of the edition of ESPN the Magazine that hits newsstands Wednesday, Johnson said he will return to the Bengals. “Am I coming back? Of course I am. I told my coaches I’m going to California to act, but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June,” Johnson writes. “I may be crazy but I’m not stupid.” Johnson could be fined $8,000 maximum by the Bengals if he were to miss the mandatory minicamp, according to the league’s collective bargaining agreement. Minicamp is June 12-14. The club then could fine him up to $14,288 a day for missing training camp, according to NFL figures. Bengal training camp will start Sunday, July 27, when players have to report to Georgetown College near Lexington. The first two practices will be July 28. Source: Mark Curnutte, enquirer.com |

Chad Johnson Ponders Eagles - Cowboys
The good news for Eagles fans is that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson is at least thinking about wearing green. The bad news is he's also thinking about life with a star on the side of his helmet. "If I can get out of Cincinnati, the sky's the limit," Johnson told ESPN the Magazine. "What could I do in a place like Philadelphia or Dallas? It would be ridiculous. It's gonna be like a whole new me, like Ocho Cinco 2.0." Johnson, who for some reason is serving as a guest editor for the magazine, said in the same story that he plans to play for the Bengals this season. "Am I coming back?" he asked rhetorically. "Of course I am. I told my coaches I'm going to California to act, but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid." -- Philadelphia Inquirer He used to be tolorable with his antics but now he's becoming the new "TO." |
