Broncos Sign Former Buc RB Michael Pittman

Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry's hamstring injury is healing slowly and the team doesn't expect him to return to offseason workouts until next week. When he does get back on the field, he'll find even more competition for snaps.

The Broncos agreed to a one-year deal with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman on Tuesday, agent Drew Rosenhaus told The Associated Press
"There's a lot of ways Michael can help the Broncos," Rosenhaus said. "He can play fullback, halfback, he can catch the ball out of the backfield, return punts and return kicks. He's a versatile back."

Pittman, an 11th-year pro who spent his past six seasons in Tampa after four years in Arizona, rushed for 286 yards on 68 carries and caught 26 passes for 191 yards last season, when he missed six games with a high ankle sprain.
Rosenhaus said he's been in talks with the Broncos about Pittman since the start of free agency.

Travis Henry is going to have a monster year this year. You heard it here.... He went off running at the beginning of last year, but then he had the drugs problem. Monster year im telling you...

I used to like Henry too. He is very good. But the drug problems are getting out of control. Thats like 2-3 times now. Im starting to wonder if the NFL has a major steriod problem as well....

The Titans lost a very good player but when you're trying to cut costs someone has to go, of course IMO it shouldn't have been Henry...I wonder if his drug demons are in the past though...

Well if he was a one time offender I would say maybe. But after the 2nd and 3rd times.... I give up hope that your going to change.

Pittman was a big part of the championship team with the Bucs, he did pretty good in that super bowl i remember. Formidable RB
