Weis: Notre Dame pretty close to being pretty good

Notre Dame Charlie Weis asked about his biggest accomplishment on the field? "I think we're getting pretty close to being pretty good. For a long time." "Competing to win every game. Is there any other? If you're not competing to win every game, then you're not pretty good. It doesn't mean you're not going to be underdog, that when you're playing some people that on paper, some people might expect you to not win a game. But if you're not in a position to every time you go on the field, it can't be lip service. You have to believe every time you go on the field that you're going to win the game. Same here. I guess Rutgers doesn't believe so either. They turned down ND's request to play them at the meadowlands or South Bend. Rutgers said if you want to play us, play us in our house too.

i cant stand notre dame....their players piss me off....their coaches piss me off....and RUDY SUCKED.....

the only thing they are good for is being the biggest drama queens in the country.....i was so happy to see them have a 3 win season last year and see "the guru" charlie weiss look even worse with his own requiting class....it just shows that ty willingham wasnt as bad as they thought he was....i just can wait for the whole place to implode and nbc will have something else on every saturday....

even worse than the players, coaches, and media is the fans....i cant stand notre dame fans....its the school with the biggest fan base of people who had nothing to do with that school...for the sole fact that someone is irish means they are notre dame fans....im irish as hell and i wouldnt be caught dead cheering for them....notre dame fans have this "holier than thow" thing about them that just pisses me off.....

i have to favorite college football teams.....Michigan and who ever is playing notre dame.....

outside of a few years ago when they lost to BC, they have not been relavent to any title runs in about 20 years
