Of all the active running backs in the NFL, who would you choose to hand the ball off to in this key short yardage situation? I would have to go with Marion The Barbarian Barber, he has shown that he is one of the premier power running backs in the game. Frank Gore in my backfield would be a plus especially if he returns to his 2006 season running style, but if my season depended on one 4th and 1 play, I would feel most confident giving the ball to Barber.

I agree 100%. Marion has proven to be the "go to" guy in short yardage. *waits for Homer nyG to argue about Jacobs*

AZ there are two things you might be forgetting.
1) cowgirl fans are the biggest homers in sports, so u can't call other people homers. 2) 48 million+ households saw BJ convert 4th and 1 on the game's biggest stage in a game saving/losing situation. Me and chubz aren't being homers, we just know that you always put the big boy in here, and a 265 lb back that can do it in that situation is the right man for the job. That and the fact that we drafted ron dayne who was a complete failure as the spell back to tiki barber. Plus defenses fear BJ27 more than MB3 |

Just because a RB converts a 4th and 1 in the super bowl doesn't mean he can do it all the time, now before you Giant fans go ballistics, I am not a homer but I like Marions odds more in that situation more consistently...

So since Lendale couldn't do it in the National Championship, a heavily viewed game, and him being a big guy, that would kind of contradict a bit? Jacobs and Barber certainly would be tough to decide from, either really can't be 'wrong.'
Maurice Jones-Drew would be a good guy to have in that situation as well. |

I've tried reasoning with AZ on stats before Chubz, people are just hating on the champs. 1000 yards in 10 games really, he went down early in that 1st Dallas game. And he split carries just as much if not more than MB. Bottomline, I see a breakout year to BJ in a contract year, and MB isnt gonna do much especially in their pass heavy offense and his first year goin full time. Don't wanna be the one to say I told ya so!
