If you had to choose between the two who would it be? And please say why..
Honestly I would have to go with Westbrook. Although Barber is a hammerhead type of runner Westbrook is just an all around better back. He has speed can line up as a wideout blocks just as good. My homerism is making my head hurt over this but I can't deny who is the better back. AZ

I agree Westbrook is far more versatile than Barber. And Westbrook proved it again by leading the league in rec. yards by a RB with 771. Barber I feel is going to really good, but when your RB can spread the field even more, makes for a dynamic offense.

Barber is a great back, but like both of you said above me, he is more versitile. Any coach would rather have westbrook on their team because he is the complete package. Definiteley Westbrook.

/ thread. Westbrook is the better all around RB, taking his versatility into account.

They are very different backs, and I can think of a lot of situations were one is definetely better than the other. That said, at this point in their career I'd rather have Westbrook than Barber. BUT if Barber can stay healthy for a number of years, and does what he does so well, then this won't even be a competition later down the road.

Oh, its Westbrook for me...in a landslide. Westbrook can do it all: Great vision, he's very quick, agile, AND he is great at catching and picking up yards after. He is the definition of a "complete back." I like Barber, good player, but I think Westbrook is better by far, when you consider all the things he can do.

Not really a debate here. Westbrook is by far better then Barber. Give Barber a few years of consistency then maybe we can talk. Brian is just by far the more complete back.
