Steve is a big help to us, but doomed? I don't quite think so. San Diego has a mediocre run defense and in case you missed it, we actually have a run game now....
The Panthers really can win this game, the Chargers normally start slow and it's not like we're a bad team. Lord knows though that 90% of football fans know nothing of substance about the team... |

What is there to know that 90% of football fans don't know...that Smith isn't there? That Delhomme is returning from an injury that sometimes takes 2 years to fully recover from? That Fox has lost control of the locker room? That the Chargers are in the upper 5 teams in the NFL and the Panthers are in the bottom 12? Tell me oh genie....what is there to know...well except as I said on any given Sunday...

Panthers don't have a shot in this game, bud it probably won't be a blowout like most of us think. Panthers run the clock well, but can't win this one. Chargers - 24, Panthers - 14

Lost control of the locker room? That is flat out IGNORANT. The incident with Smitty was unfortunate but that's the only incident. As a whole the team is very well respected and John is considered by owners to be one of the better coaches in the league. If he was fired you could bet your ass he'd have a job within days of losing it. Bottom 12? Based on what? A 7-9 season with Vinny and Carr at the helm? As I said, you know nothing at all about the team. You mention how losing Smitty is going to kill us but neglect to even think about the fact that we've won games without him before and now we actually have a running game capable of sustaining drives and some good recieving options alongside him. Please, put up something substantial next time. |

Yes, we all know shitty head coaches have gotten jobs. But you said he lost the locker room and so here's your shot, prove me wrong. Wanna cite some actual evidence other than someone who has a history of anger issues? I won't argue, the Panthers aren't the favorite and I'm not trying to debate that. The fact that you along with other people are saying they have no chance based on what has proven to be faulty information. Tell me, why are the Panthers a bottom 12 team. I will have a lot of fun calling you out. So far you haven't actually introduced any sort of facts into this, so yes it's all insubstantial. And you're right, I'm gonna root for my team but it doesn't matter in this case as I know how to be objective. |

Look at any PR's they are towards the botton and the Chargers are in the top 5, sure you can come back and say, they are all wrong, what proof do you have that I'm wrong? NONE...Just because you are a fan of that team doesn't necessarily give you any more insight into their locker room then me, my comment was more kidding then factual and only from what I've read in numerous papers etc. There are a lot of times that say their QB's are healed and ready for the season, only playing in a real game situation will prove that.
You don't know how to be objective or you wouldn't have fired off an obviously pissed off rant about no one knowing your team...My first comment IMO was objective, I could care less who wins between your team and the Chargers but my comment was based on who are on both teams, who's hurt, and what they did last year and what players were lost or picked up for this season...Now AGAIN...I am picking the Chargers to win, but ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY....I'm sure you can finish the rest of the sentence. |

So you were just kidding now? Again I really sincerely doubt that's the case. Backpedaling won't save you. Jake did well in 3 quarters against the Redskins. After TJ's, ligament tear is not something that has a chance of recurrence so your point won't apply here. Wanna talk about who is hurt and/or recovering? Rivers, LT, Merriman, etc. The Chargers already have a history of starting slow. Look I'm not guaranteeing a win, but all things considered saying we have no chance seems short sighted don't you think? And saying "any given sunday" is the same thing as it absolves you of having to ever be wrong while still saying a t |
