Computer Gugus...i need help - The Postgame Pub

Thanks to jeremiah(my friend/roommate) i just got rid of over 500 viruses on my desktop and it still can't get on the internet...the computer/network name or what ever it is, is suppose to be something unique...like self set...but it's set at YOUR-xxxxxxxxx the x's are numbers and letters...according to my friend that does computer work, that was the work of a Trojan and until i fix it i can't do any internet work even tho it shows something about a firewall....i'm lost with all that kind of computer work lol..i know main stuff about privacy settings and how to find/delete/fix viruses and i'm very computer savvy so most computer tech lingo i understand...anyone know a good way to fix it?

Did your friend say to just change the name of the network?

he didn't really say lol...after he read that name and said it was a trojan he made me download another virus removing program on my laptop and transfer it to my desktop via a flashdrive...and then i removed the 500+ viruses/spyware that was on there...now he's out of state with his sister who just had twins...so i can't get in touch with him

Dude I just got a virus thing on my laptop too I have no idea of what it is but its doing some crazy shit with my pc

Yeah mine just started popping up this virus protecter 2009 and would not stop. My norton is expired so I bought some $20 one and it removed about 6000 items. Then said something about I still needed a firewall, but mine is one? And the past month when turning the computer on it messes up bad and wants to resore itself! And im all dumb when it comes to computers so who knows, I wish you luck man.
