Question? External Hard Drive - The Postgame Pub

Looking to buy a hard drive to back up all my school files because I feel like my laptop is about to die on me.

Have you run across any good deals lately?

Buy.com has a WD 500GB one for $100 shipped. But then I saw their pocket size ones but it's less space.

I think I would rather have more space but i'm still looking around. Maybe I can find a small sized one with more memory for a good deal.

Any suggestions are welcome

$100 for 500GB is a damn good deal.

I spent $93 on a 320GB WD drive from Dell almost a year ago.

I've always used Western Digital and never really had a problem with them. Any comments on that? Still make good products? Haven't bought a hard drive in years.

Well I take that back. I'm running a Seagate HD in my desktop at my parent's house. Still going good.

Only thing I hate about the one I listed above is that it needs a power outlet. It's not USB powered.

External hard drives are fine as long as you leave them plugged in 24/7.
I would back up everything on DVD-R since you can get quite a few gb's on them.

I also just got a 32gb usb stick that is badass.
