Have any of you ever tried Kava?
It's made from a root that has been used in and around the Pacific Islands for centuries.
Hawiians use it in rituals as well as other cultures. It's a legal plant, the roots are extracted and made into a powder and then made into a drink. In recent years it's been made into gel caps/pills. Herbalists use it to treat strees, anxiety and depression. It's supposed to give you a feeling of euphoria. It's basicly like alcohol without the buzz, downer affects with high usage and no hangover the next day. I saw it on the Travel Channel. There are little Kava shops in Hawaii, kind of like coffee shops. There was also some info on it on a surfing documentary, they were surfing on an island near Fiji and at night they would hang out on the beach around the campfire and drink Kava together. I'm not into tea or coffee so i figured i'd give this stuff a try. I ordered a pound of ground Kava from Hawaii with one of the dudes i work with. I can't wait to try it. any of you guys ever heard of it or tried it?
