Default Best TV out there

What do u guys think is the best tv out there to buy? It's a toss up between the Sony Bravia and the Vizio XVT. Both are great, but Sony is like $2-3000 more! What do u guys think?

I love the Sony.

However the "BEST" tv out there will be a 1970's Panasonic.

The big 27" TV's with the wooden frame that made the tv almost like a table.

Those things would last forever. They were made much better than any of the newer HD, Plasma or LCD tv's.

You could even rebuild/repair them when they went out.

And if you didn't you could put your new TV on top of them.

Lol, yea I remember those. I totally think there are things out there that were better back in the day, as opposed to the "new and improved, beautiful, updated" item now. Sometimes, old school is better.

However, I don't think my buds are going to want to come over and watch Sunday night football or NBA games on a 27"

I bought a Polaroid 26" flat for my bedroom. Wasn't wanting to put alot of money into it, becasuse I wouldn't be watching it that much. But the tv has been a really good one... we have a 32" in the living room...and I guess the newer tvs measure different b/c the one in the bedroom is so much bigger. I only paid around 700 for the tv and it has been well worth the price.

Parents have a 32" Samsung. Love it. However it's a 720p which i think is good for 32" or smalle.r

i cant tell the difference between 720p and 1080p.....it only matters if the thing you are watching is shot in 1080p..and nothing is yet

I actually disagree on there being no difference between 720 and 1080p. There is definitely a difference! Maybe there is no difference in 120hz, but there is in a 1080p tv - especially with blu-ray. I would go for the Vizio 47", or even the 52"! Vizio's are a great brand and you don't need to spend thousands of dollars more for a "brand name". Good luck!

unless your sitting 5ft from your screen there is no visual difference at 10 feet or beyond

I had never had one before and the picture was pretty good in the store. It's a good tv to me though... we didn't want to spend a whole lot on a bedroom tv, we are planning on buying a big one for the livingroom around taxes...I liked the vizios!
