I will be getting one to put in the hatch as soon as tanner is big enough to get in it. I think they have to be a min of 35lbs to ride in a front facing car seat.

right now he's only 17lbs and is still required to sit in a rear facing seat.

the recaro/sport style seats are unfortunatly only for tottlers and not infants.

its more height than anything...and its not 35lbs...my 4 year old is 40 pounds....i think its around 18 pounds and can be able to support their head....8 months is a good rule of thumb.....

here is a link to a general guidlines....this is not the law...its just recommended....i put both of my girls in a front facing seat at around 18lbs.....but that was only because they were both in the 100% rating for height....they were alot taller than most infants.....

Rearco FTW!!!...on the car seats.....when I worked at the hospital I took out some mexican lady that just had a baby and one of her other kids was in the type R seat.....I laughed my ass off cause they drove a probe with a double stacked wing and a type R sticker on the door
