well i am almost done with all my classes and everything and will most likely start my new job for my step dads company by september....i will be making a rediculous amount of money so i figured next spring i would splurg a little and get my car that i wanted...

its a mitsubishi Lancer evo IX......they made it from 2005 - 2007, i saw the Evo X but i like the IX better...

here are some pics of Lancer Evo IX's

and if you guys didnt know its faster than a porche Carrera 4

i will start looking for one this spring....hopefully i will find one for around $25,000 to $27,000

a couple more specs....(stock)

0-60mph - 4.1 to 4.5 (depending on where you look)
1/4 mile - 12.5 - 12.9 @ approx 109mph - 106mph
top speed - 160 mph (electronically limited)
HP - 286 - 289 @6500rpm
Torque - 289lb-ft @ 3500rpm
Enigine - 16 valve DOHC 2.0L Turbo charged
Drivetrain - AWD
other add ons - vented disk brakes with brembo calipers, MOMO steering wheel, recaro bucket seats, Enkei rims

now the MR has more add ons like 6 speed tranny, xenon headlights, Forged BBR rims. bilstein shocks, accesory gauge kit and more...plus a top speed of almost 170mph

i have wanted an EVO for a ling time...and soon i will be able to afford one, im hoping to have it by next summer

The plastic in the int. looks very very cheap. other than that its a pretty nice car.

Yeppers.. My buddy has an EVO VII or VIII can't remember. And Wilson is right. The int. is kinda cheap looking. Other than that the car is balls fast. I hope you find one man. They kick all kinds of ass with just minor bolt-ons...

yea that was one of the downfalls of the car...someone put it into these terms..."the interior is almost Honda cheap......almost" but the picture is just of a random interior...they do make alot of add ons that make the interior look alot better....

their are 6 for sale right now within 100 miles of me...so i am assuming their will be a few next year when im looking

yes by saying "honda cheap" i assume they are talking about the civics....the s2000 interiors are sick...really nice

Just bustin your balls man. I know most all the Honda int. are cheap. I really hope you can find a way to get an EVO man. They are a blast to drive.

yea they are but the s2000's do have a sweet interior....i test drove an EVO IX last summer....it was crazy fun to drive....

Might be faster, but to the average lay-person its nothing more than a tarted up ricer a roni special IMO.

yea the lancer might be a tarted up ricer a roni...but that just makes the porche the mother ricer a roni...its not like the porche is a muscle car..its a low litre car that goes fast....plus in my mind a true rice burner car is something that isnt fast but looks like the person tried to make it "look" fast......examples

this Integra isnt a real Type R....just stickers to make it look fast....

do i really need to say anything...when you are topping out a 110mph you really need that downforce from the wing...

this one is the worst........ok mitsubishi eclipse.....SPYDER....he wants you to know that its a SPYDER....but look at the back....its a mitsubishi sebring eclipse type JX....where do i start....

a sebring is a chrysler.....a JX is a sebring model but not even the best..if you are going to label your car wrong atleast use the highest label...the JX-i is the highest...ok....the type....well the only car in the U.S that uses the term "type" as in "type-R" is honda...so this douche has a mitsubishi, chrysler and a honda all into one car....and oh yea...ITS A SPYDER!!!!!!!!!!!!......and with those nice HEAVY chrome rims on their he is really going faster.....

those are rice burners....that was fun i am going to start a rice burner thread

Honestly, if you take the wing off of the Evo it doesn't look to ricerish. It just looks like a strange 4 door with an odd radiator looking thing in the front. (intercooler) :p

yes i do agree that the wing is a little much on the evo...but the only reason it is on their is because its a rally car....the STI has one too...as do all rally cars...

What sucks about that is most ppl don't realize that the Wing is factory. They just assume you are a ricer. Ignorance....

Maybe I'm just old, I think the EVO and the STI are good cars and while they might be faster than a lot of others. The EVO does not have the same pedigree as a Porsche and does not pull pussy like a Porsche. Ending it won't hold its value like a Porsche

Back to me being old part I would look at BMW E39 M5's and Merc C55. The EVO will always be profiled as a chav chariot.
