MLB The Show is the best baseball game ever. I hate the ps3, but the show is amazing. EA doesnt have any baseball titles this year. They cant male MLB games because Take2 has that exclusivety for Baseball (take2 has the third party rights. Sony makes the game for the playstation so they arent considered third party)

Hey, I'm starting out and I can't seem to find the right combination of pitches. What three do you recommend?

Hi guys great thread
Im from London and have never played a baseball game or really understood the game while watching it so ive struggled a little to come to terms with some of the jargon and abbreviations but im also struggling to get this "hitters count " and mentality can someone explain the thought process while at bat for the batter also i ve been guessing fastball and low in the zone and then covering high in the zone knowing that if it isnt a fastball ive got more time to pick the location do i still need to pull down on the left stick if i guess right(the hitting zone kind or relocates low if i guess correctly) cheers and all help greatly received goonertaff |

Raider1one
I just wanted to say thanks for the ton of info on the game. I picked it up a few months ago and I'm still learning stuff. I noticed that under your tag it says "Banned". I hope this doesn't mean what I think if means,..... |

unfortunately Raider1one had an alternate SN here and he decided to copy and paste from other forums and sites and never give credit back to them, even after we asked that he stopped

Hey guys! I just joined the forums, and I love this site! I've played this MLB series almost my whole life, but this year I thought I'd buckle down and seriously improve my skills especially with the summer coming up.
I'm currently playing on Veteran, and I usually can get like 7-9 hits a game. I've been utilizing the tips here on this page, and I've got to say they have improved my game 1000% already. I have a pretty good knowledge about baseball, but I am unclear about a couple things about this game. I'll post my questions and tell you what I think the answer is, and hopefully you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance. Q: On the 0-0 count for any batter, I've noticed MLB players almost always take on this count. How do you know when to take and when to swing away? - Since I always the guess pitch feature, I almost always guess inside fastball, and if I get the location right, I will swing, but if I don't get any lock-ons, I'll take. I've found if you have the right timing, almost any inside pitch you can at least foul off. Q: Does it really matter what team you use, and will it affect your game? - I realize the Mets will be a lot better than the Marlins, but does it really give the Mets user an advantage in a game against the Marlins? Q: How do you know when or when not to use influence swing? - There was a previous post that had general guidelines for when and when not to use the influence swing feature. I just basically use influence swing on counts with 2 strikes or 2 outs. For lefties I aim to RF for inside pitches and LF for outside. For righties I aim to RF for outside pitches and LF for inside pitches Last edited by chisoxfan95; 06-11-2008 at 10:24 PM.. |

I'm even sure what the "6" in your quote even means. I was shocked the the guy got banned after adding so much the the forum. But if the guy broke ur rules after he was warned you have to do what you have to do.
I have a question, I am have trouble with my pitcher in RTTS. I killed AA but after moving up to AAA my guy has lost his control. I keep adding points to control on all of my pitches and my controls hasn't improved. Do I need to add points to ARM/ACC to help my pitch control? The game is amazing but I do have a love/hate relationship with the game. Some games my pitcher is dead on some days he' s a hack. I do understand that this does happen but when you pitch in the yellow zone and hit the mark on acc and pitches are dead center it really kills you. Killer thread BTW! |
