Jesse Darcy

Anyone know anything about Jesse Darcy RHP in the Tampa System?

I saw him pitch when he was at Manhattan and wanted to know how he was getting on in the pros.

i haven't had a chance to see him at all since he was drafted, but i watched a ton of film on the jaspers (mainly for matt rizzotti, but i got a chance to see darcy on multiple outings). he's pretty unspectacular, with a fastball around 84 miles per hour and an arrangement of 2 well-below average secondary pitches in his hook and his change. his curve is his bread and butter, but without a quality fastball, he's got nothing to set it up with. his "heater" has little life and no movement, although he can spot it where he needs to. his change is also pretty flat, but he has pretty good arm action which should enable him to baffle some young, inexperienced hitters at low levels of the minor leagues. check baseball cube or a site like that for his stats, as i haven't been tracking him, but from his stuff, he'll likely stick around the short-season rookie leagues and possibly low-a ball for a couple seasons before flaming out. he'll never make the big leagues, and doesn't really have anything that makes me think he'll even stick at any level of the minor leagues. as i noted last season on his specific section of the draft report, he simply is not a player.
