Official 2009 NBA Finals thread
Today is game one in Boston. I think L.A. can steal one here. I wouldn't be surprised if it were game one too. Starts at 8:30 pm est. I'll be watching!

id say if lakers win one in boston either tonite or the next game, this will give lakers a chance to win all their home games and win the nba finals...
if they lose one game at home, then theyll HAVE to win in boston for the championship. i just hope that lakers win tonite because theyre good enuff, and if they win both in Boston i think lakers got this series, but itll be tough. but i guess well see if lakers can win one tonite! im so excited for this game!! :D

I like the Lakers in this one, I just think that with Kobe and Fisher being the only ones with Finals experience they'll have the chance to steal one on Boston's floor. Still, with the way that crowd is and a homicidal KG roaming, you can't count the Celtics out. I'm pretty pumped about the Finals to be honest.

I've been getting goosebumps the entire pre-game, I forgot how much I love basketball. It is the beautiful game in my opinion, nothing tops it.

First quarter in the books. Ray Allen is scoring and keeping pace with Kobe which was one of my keys in my Finals preview. KG started off well too. Damn this is exciting watching the Celtics and Lakers in the NBA finals!

Lakers by 5 at the half. Kobe shot poorly but played under control and made some smart plays. Look for him to really turn on his offense in the 3rd to try and pull away.

The Celtics have to be worried. Pierce isn't doing anything with 3 points and 3 fouls and Kobe is getting everyone else involved. Soon, The Black Mamba is going to come out and when that happens, there could be trouble.

9-26 shooting from Kobe. Not great. Boston takes game one. That rebound dunk was huge by KG. Pretty much took everything out of the Lakers.

bullsh*t game, and i blame sasha for taking retarded shots when he didnt need to...
stupid paul pierce... i bet u he had this planned with kp43 i was soo pissed after the game. but i have hope next game then just win all at staples and theyre good.

You can't blame anyone except for Kobe for this loss if you are a Lakes fan, he simply waited to long to try and flip the switch and against a team as good on the defensive end as the Celtics are, you just can't do that. He needs to get going in the 3rd quarter to get in rhythm, that way when the 4th quarter rolls around he's in his groove.

o yes they will be prepared lol. i cant wait till sunday!!! they can handle the boston celtics, its just they need kobe to do better than he did last time. esp. his shooting. and lamar shud make more jump shots that they give him. and take sasha off of allen haha. i hated it wen sasha fould allen when he tried to beat the shot clock, and i dont think he touched him... idk if any of u remember that but i do haha i was mad at him so much
