This deal is being talked about pretty heavily from what I hear... I think this would be very solid for L.A. RJ imo is just a better scorer and is more agressive then Odom. Would be a nice compliment to Kobe.

jefferson is a stud defensively, as he should be with that athleticism. i wouldn't do it if i was LA though. i just don't see how that upgrades their front court.

I agree that Odom needs to stay in LA. Jackson runs the Triangle and Odom is important to that, just like Pippen was back in the day. They lost in teh NBA Finals without their starting center and a power forward who only played half a season with the team, they aren't exactly in bad shape.

i wouldnt do this deal if i was N.J.
Odom is older, makes more money, and averages almost 9 points less a game....i cant see why New Jersey would even consider this unles they were also getting draft picks |

If i were LA i would go after Artest. Odom did not show up at all during the finals.
I honestly think the laker are going to dominate the west next year also. With Bynum healthy and gasol in his natural postion, it really does not matter where odom is because there will be three threats minimum on the floor. |

The real thing to consider is how would Artest and Kobe get along together. I think it might turn out to be one of the best duos in the NBA, or could turn out to constantly be a 'Who's Team is It' situation. The Nets would be completely blowing it if they did this deal, but maybe that's what they're trying to do. Just set themselves up, where one guy can come in and they'll be a great team.
