Sonics 4th Pick

Sonics recieve:
Clippers 7th Pick
Clippers 2009 First Round Pick

Saw it on ESPN just a little bit ago.

Wow, pretty solid deal for Seattle I think. Clipps won't be much good next year I don't think. Decent first next year to give them two firsts next season and they only move down 3 spots. They can still get a quality player there. I wonder who the Clipps are trying to pick up. They must really want someone. Kevin Love? With all the talk about Brand possibly leaving then thats a possibility. In my mock draft I have them taking Eric Gordon but I will be shocked if he goes #4.

There also might be the possibility of Bayless slipping to 7. That's unlikely, but didn't Durant and he play together in H.S.?

I don't think they played together but they did know each other. I really don't see him slipping to number 7 though. From what Im hearing his stock is actually rising.

Yeah, I can't remember where I heard that from. Maybe it was something like they played together in some camp. I've heard the same about his stock, then again, it's all coming from ESPN. Their not the ones making the decision you know, so we never know.

i would never give up two first round picks to move up three spots in a draft

this is a good trade for the sonics...im not to sure about the clippers though....they havent used their high picks very wisely in the past.....the only pick they have had in the first round since 2001 that has a guy averaging over 10pts a game is Chris Kaman.....(not including last years draft)..so moving up for them isnt always a good move....

the sonics on the other hand have made a great move...going by the track record of the clippers and the bad draft picks they have taken, odds are the clippers will be another lottery team next year considering there is a good chance their first pick might be a bust...

as for adding another guy around durant...he could use it....being the leading scorer on his team is with 20.3 a game isnt gonna do it....if he has another guy who can make plays around him his average will go up atleast 4 points a game....plus he will get more assists...the sonics are in the process of rebuilding and this trade will help them out alot...they will have a young team and after next years pick have the chance to be even better....they will still be a lottery pick and be able to get another good young guy...they have 2 first round picks in the draft this year..i think its number 19....so they can set themselves up pretty nicely
