By now everyone has probably heard the rumors. The Nets are using Jay Z as a barganing chip for the 2010 Lebron sweepstakes. Lebron loves NY and is friends with Jay Z. Do you really think Lebron will leave?
I for one think there is No way in hell Lebron leaves the Cavs. I think all this talk is just going to drive up Clevelands offer. He grew up here his whole life and is playing for his hometown team. The Cavs will get him some better talent and they did reach the Finals just two seasons ago. He isn't going anywhere imo. |

i think that if the cavs have a sub par season next year and the front office doesnt show any interest in getting him some real help then he will be gone...im not sure about the nets though...it seems like they would be a good candidate but if they are one of the worst teams next year then why would he want to go and play in a situation worse than the cavs....i dont see that happening...i think Lebron will stay with the cavs because he wants to do to clevland what Jordan did to Chicago...Lebron wants a statue somewhere

LeBron loves NY. He always plays big in the Garden and the only way I see him playing for the Nets is only if they're in Brooklyn when his contract is up. The Knicks need to get more contracts to expire in 2010 and I think they'll make the play for him. 2 more seasons
Nice Mighty Ducks jerseys btw PJ

the nets will be moving to brooklyn awesome!!! now i can go see their games!
The way i see it is how it occurs with the mets and yankees is that the nets and knicks will try to outbid each other for his services. Lebron knows that if he wants to be world renowned its going to have to be in one of the big cities. And the best way to do that is to come to ny. The cavs better get their act straight and get a star to play next to him and keep him motivated to stay. |

As for playing for his hometown....you're assuming that he actually likes his hometown, which is Akron--not Cleveland. Perhaps it's a situation where he's a big fish in a small pond. If he goes to NY or the Nets, he could be king of New York...which, with his ego, he'd probably enjoy more. |
