Sanchez looking like the starter at USC
As the suspense fizzles out of USC's quarterback derby, one need only look at the snaps each player gets to realize the coaches believe Mark Sanchez will start next season. Sanchez got six series with the first team during Sunday's scrimmage, while sophomore Mitch Mustain got two and freshman Aaron Corp just one. During Tuesday's practice, Sanchez practiced with the first team while Mustain and Corp split time with the second team. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said he did not anticipate increasing Mustain's time with the first unit for the Trojans' next scrimmage on Saturday. Even Mustain conceded his chances of winning the job might be slipping as spring practice crossed the halfway mark. "It's certainly running out," Mustain said. "I'm not going to push for it. It will take care of itself." USC coach Pete Carroll will not officially say Sanchez is the starter despite evidence indicating he will be. -- LA Daily News Here's the main reason that Mitch Mustain was an idiot for transferring to USC. You may be the shit in Arkansas, but your another fish in the pond at 'SC. Not saying his decision to transfer was a bad one, just his location of choice. |
