My Bcs Rant

I am a huge football fan. The love that i have for football can only be topped by the hate that i have for the BCS (BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP SEREIES) here is the complaint any time you have an undefeated team that is not in the championship game when a team with not 1 but 2 loses in the game is in need of help. I know That Hawaii not play much of a schedule. I may buy that argument to but a 1 lose team in the championship game but not 2. I don't care if you lost both games in overtime you still lost the games. Also you have Ohio State who lost one game. Now the main argument is that Hawaii did not play a hard schedule. But lets look at Ohio States non conference schedule because you can not blame a team for what the other teams in your conference has done. According to the schedule i got off the Internet. Youngstown State,Akron, Washington,Kent state. Hawaii also played Washington and won. So that leaves you Youngstown state Akron and Kent State. WOW those are teams that will keep you up at night. So Ohio State also played a weak non conference schedule they lost a game and they still get in the championship game over an unbeaten. What kind of system is that? There is no reason that there should not be a playoff.
HERE IS MY SYSTEM
The BCS teams have about 1 month before they play there games. SOULUTION instead of sitting for a month YOU HAVE PLAYOFF GAMES!!!!! you can take the top 16 ranked teams have them seated 1 through 16 and play it like one region in the March Madness tournament. I would take 4 weeks so you can do it in a month. WOW that is hard. It is OK for the kids to play 1 game a week throughout the fall but not in December why not? Now in this system there is a good chance that Ohio State and LSU would still make it they are both good teams but then you give teams like Hawaii to prove they can play with the big boys and who knows they have the saying THATS WHY YOU PLAY THE GAME. Give Hawaii a chance to probe it!!!!! By the way just so you know I am not a Hawaii fan i am a fan of Illinois where i am from.

Personally, I don't think we will ever see a playoff system in NCAA football. Everyone is craving for it, but no advances have been made in that department.

In other news, you guys just got Jarred Fayson, a WR out of Florida. He was going to be our #2 guy next season, but he decided to transfer for "personal reasons".

Main reason no playoff system is that the colleges make a TON of money from the sponsors and television rights of these games, and if they put in a playoff system then all of the bowl games would lose value and colleges would lose money. Don't believe that any of the people who make arguments for the BCS saying that it makes the regular season more meaningful. Hawaii and Boise State are clear examples on how it makes the regular season games meaningless. The system isn't in place because it's the best way to decide the best team, its in place because it's the best way to make a lot of money.

i personally just think that they need to redo this whole BCS ranking bullsh*t, but that's just me personally . . . there's still a bunch of stuff they need to fix

They cannot have playoffs in the middle of December for one simple reason: EXAMS. A lot of people can say what they want about the BCS but there will NEVER be games in the middle of December, so if you want a playoff, it will start at the end of December and go till the end of January and go against the NFL playoff games that are put on Saturday.

Hahaha, I was going to mention exams, but I decided not to.

At least March Madness for basketball is around the time of spring break for most schools.

Too much money involved in the Bowl Games and Series. No way the college Presidents decide to actually get a legitimate winner if it means less $$$ in their pockets.
