Wow. And the Fox guys are so excited about him being apart of the crew.
But... he went out on top with a Super Bowl win... Why try to come back? Besides the love of the game (like Favre), and the pay check... You went out at the right moment. Why not keep it that way? |

Watched Coughlin's news conference today and we're going to move Mathias Kiwanuka back to defensive end. Sucks since he's been working hard to transition to linebacker and now he has to go back.
Jerry Reese, I want a linebacker. Trade Derrick Ward, Ahmad Bradshaw, Domenik Hixon, or even Steve Smith if you have to. We have so much depth at RB/WR. If there are no free agent options out there, a trade must be done. Spags is great but Danny Clark and Gerris Wilkinson are not my ideal choices at OLB. Last edited by nyG; 08-25-2008 at 01:54 PM. |

its to bad spikes is with the 49ers now..he would have been a nice plug in for them...
but i say throw the 8 mil. at Stray.....it will be more than worth it considering he isnt only a good player but a force in the locker room and a GREAT leader for the team and a moral booster...that is what they will need on that defense since Osi is gone..im sure they are feeling kinda down right now and bringing Strahan back into the picture would give them a good boost...

yeah but last year Stray was just considering retirement and was probably leaning towards coming back and just made the decision late to avoid training camp. He didn't play in the preseason but at least he was around and was able to come in Week 1. Who knows if he is in football shape after confirming his retirement early and knowing he would have a nice desk job and not have to keep himself gameday ready. Who knows if he's even worked out in a few months?

The best thing the Giants can do here is give Strahan 8million. Let Kiwanuka be. Mike still has some gas left in the tank. He also has an ego too, so this whole scenario is right up his alley

Strahan is currently vacationing in Greece and wouldn't say if he would or wouldn't return, and it is now reported by ESPN's Andrew Marchand that FOX Sports said that he can pursue playing this year and that his job as an analyst will be waiting for him the following season. This story just keeps picking up steam.
