Giants DE Osi Umenyiora suffered serious ligament damage last night against the Jets and will be forced to undergo surgery, which will probably knock him out for the entire season. There was some talk about whether to do the short-term rehab or the surgery. In the end, they opted for surgery to make sure Umenyiora will be better off in the long run.

damn. They are going to move Kiwanuka back to the line. It's going to be tough. Its a huge hit to the D, but Its not like they dont have the depth to make way. I wouldnt rule out the Giants from anything.

thsi is why the pre season in BS..its too long and the starters shouldnt be playing after the 2nd game.....its to bad that this has to happen to Osi...other teams should see this and learn from it..

The Giants have a ton of depth and talent on Defense. Not to mention they are as talanted as anyone in the league on Offense. Im not downplaying Osi being out, im just saying thay have a capable fillin in Nuka and the rest of that line is great.

the more games you play the more chances of injury......football is the most injury prone sport....the less these guys can play when it doesnt matter the better....look at baseball spring training....you rarely see the big name guys playing everyday

exactly...dont let the starters play more than 2 games in the pre season...it makes sence for the NFL too....if Tom Brady has a season ending injury that means the pats wont be great..which means less viewers..which means less money for the NFL and the team

Your telling me that Manning isnt a decent QB? Or that Burress isnt a good receiver, not to mention Toomer, Smith, etc at WR. Or the fact that they have one of the best Olines in football? And the fact that they have what, not 1, not 2 but 3 capable RBs? Oh yeah I forgot, this is coming from a Cowboys fan. |
