Green Bay Packers Where does Brett Favre rank in history?

IMO Brett was always a little bit overated. Where does he rank when we talk about the alltime greats. I can think of 5-6 guys right away that were better then him.

Not in any order but, Montana-Young-Elway-Marino-Troy Aikman-Warren Moon-Tom Brady-Peyton Manning.... ect

I know he holds all the major records but still. He also has the most INT's in league history as well.

I really can't see how Favre is even a little bit overrated. HE's the only player to ever get 3 MVPs, he's had more success then alot of the QBs you named in fron of him, and the most important thing he's been to the big game and won it! Not to mention Favre changed the face of Green Bay. IF it wasn't for Favre players like Reggie White would have never came to GB. He's one of the best or maybe even the best IMO just because how he played the game. Montana, Elway, Young, Marino, and most likely Manning i can agree are in the same class as Favre. BUT Aikman, Moon, and Brady are or were great players, but IMO you really can't say they are better then Favre.

no way that Aikman and moon are better than favre....steve young is a stretch.....you cant put brady and manning in this category yet considering they are still palying....

in my mind it goes.......marino, montana, favre .......marino is the best because of his sheer talent....i know he has no rings but he was incredible....without favre's int record he would inch to number 2

Manning and Brady don't even come close to Farve? Not so sure about that one. Manning has insane stats, and Brady has won 3 rings with no WR's.

Young not up there? wtf...blasphemy I tell ya

Sharing that MVP with Barry Sanders was pathetic, Barry should have had it all to himself..give me a f*ing break.

Marino, Montana, Elway, Favre, and Unitas are probably the top 5 QBs in NFL history.

Young was a great QB but didn't really have the success that many figured he would with such a talented team around him. Combine that with the fact that Favre has more MVPs (1 more is still a significant number considering how many each has won) and Favre's overall career length and overall numbers, it's hard to take Young over Favre.

Bradshaw to me is one of the most overrated QBs of all time. His career stats are average at best and compared to some of the greats, they're pretty bad. Yes he had 1 MVP season but Earl Campbell could've won that award just as easily. Not to mention that Bradshaw played with one of the most brilliant defenses during his hey day and didn't have to do much on offense to "lead" his team to victory.

BTW, take what I say with a grain of salt because I am a Dallas Cowboys fan and by rule hate his guts.

AMEN......well everything except the cowboys thing....but i agree about bradshaw...he is a QB that had the pleasure of a great defense....he was a good QB but not one of the greatest....i would put Bradshaw and Dan Fouts in the same sentence....but not with elway, marino etc...

I agree with what you said about Bradshaw. He is for sure not on even the Brett Favre level.
