Kevin Jones is now a Bear - The Postgame Pub

Kevin Jones has agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears on a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter. He'll sign this afternoon.

And the air starts leaking out of the Matt Forte sleeper balloon, if only a little. Forte remains the heavy favorite to lead the team in touches, and it's unclear if Jones (knee) will be ready for Week 1. It's a terrific low-risk move for Chicago, who will likely use a version of a committee.

Good for them. They needed a bit of a punch at RB consideirng Cedric Benson was crap. The only reason he was effective the first year was because of the 1-2 punch with Thomas Jones. Good move by the Bears. Now they need a QB because Grossman won't cut it.

i really hope that Kevin Jones does well here...he is a good back with alot of potential...if he can get into the right system, he would be a 1,000 yard back...i wish him luck

This could be a great move by the Bears. If he stays healthy he will be a GREAT addition to that offense. Maybe with a decent running game Grossman wont suck donkey balls.

If Grossman were with the Patriots he'd still play like crap.

Seems like they just haven't had good luck with running backs in recent years. Maybe Jones can keep up the good progress like... well the other Jones did.

no he would have 4 games where he is great....6 games where he is normal and 6 games where he is nothing better than a 3rd stringer who throws 4 or more ints.

what has Kevin Jones proven to call this a good move? It's an upgrade for the Bears, without a doubt, but Ryan Leaf would be an upgrade for them
