FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer and the Biloxi Sun Herald's Al Jones report that Brett Favre has decided to retire.
Favre reportedly told the Packers within the past few days. The Packers haven't commented yet, which could indicate they are hoping he changes his mind. The fact Favre told his close friend Jones, however, indicates Favre is ready to go public. If this is truly it, Favre goes out after one of his best seasons, albeit with a painful playoff ending. Aaron Rodgers finally gets his chance to lead the Packers. Personally, I don't think he's truly done. |

I saw that, but I'm leaning over towards the side that when the teams start to figure out what he's all about his stat line wont be that great, but who knows...

I figured he'd call it quits if his team didn't pick up a big play wideout that he wanted so badly, so once the Pats re-signed Moss I wasn't at all surprised to see him retire. Good run Brett, you deserve to go out after such a great season
