Re: Most underated player in the league today.
Here's two players I've taken great notice to as a Giants fan.
I would have to say Brandon Jacobs first and foremost. He is a big, physical back that you have to tackle at the legs, and for a 265 pounder still runs a 4.5. Last year he missed 5 games, was still a 1,000 yard rusher, averaged 5 yards per carry, and was 3rd in the league in yards per game, behind LaDainian and AP. He is the big back that the Giants thought they had in Heisman trophy winner Ron Dayne, who flopped. Dayne probably wouldn't have made that clutch 4th and 1 in the Super Bowl.
Raiders fans should be ecstatic to have Gibril Wilson. He was one of my favorite players during his tenure with the G-Men and I was sad to see him take his ring and leave. He is great when blitzing the QB and is a very physical safety. I wouldn't be surprised if his big contract gives him Pro-Bowl worthy recognition.
