The NFL today inducted six former greats to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The six players were: DE Fred Dean (1975-1985, San Diego and San Francisco) CB Darrell Green (1982-2002, Washington), WR Art Monk (1980-95, Washington, N.Y. Jets, Philadelphia), CB Emmitt Thomas (1966-78, Kansas City), LB Andre Tippett (1982-93, New England) and OT Gary Zimmerman(1986-1997, Minnesota and Denver). Clearly, this was Washington’s showcase. From the red-and-yellow clad crowd to the pig’s snouts to the responses whenever the Dallas Cowboys were mentioned, the ceremony looked more like a team Hall of Fame induction than a league-wide enshrinement. Darrell Green and Art Monk got the loudest and longest ovations from the pro-Redskins crowd.

Its about time Ark Monk got in. One of the best ever. I grew up watching him.

i have the so much respect for darryl green. what an awesome cornerback for so many years and gave my giants trouble every time they played

congrats to all HOFers inducted, especially enjoyed watching Gary Zimmerman when I was younger.
