Good move? Bad move?

Updating a previous item, Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports the Chicago Bears have switched CB Devin Hester to offense. He will work with the wide receivers at minicamp, but is expected to line up in the backfield at times. Head coach Lovie Smith said, "I think Devin Hester is one of the most exciting players in the NFL with his hands on the football. I think he would be an excellent defensive back also. We just feel that this is in the best interest of us and him for him to achieve his full potential as a football player."

as only a special teams specialist? why? the bears need all the help with their anemic offense they can get.

Just give him a WR screen. That is scary to think about....

I think it is a good idea it gives the defense of opposing teams something to worry about.

This is going to effect his peformance as a return man. I wouldn't do it.

Exactly. Bear fans and us 'Boys fans alike found out last season exactly how dangerous this weapon is; Hester is even faster than Bush.

Don't worry; a freak season like that doesn't get duplicated. Look at the career numbers of Desmond Howard and Dante Hall. One other thing about those guys, is they never made an impact at WR.

Not a good idea. He's too valuable for a team with a pathetic offense. Not to mention that he can also help on defense.
