Default Football Simulation - Free Trial

www.whatifsports.com

For any of you who have wondered how great players would fare against great teams from a different era, and I KNOW you have, this is for you. They even give you a free trial; you can get a free trial every 30 days. I signed up for a free trial today, and they inserted me into a league with other free trial users.

Ok, I'm sure you're wondering how it works. You are given 60 million to draft a complete team. You draft a full squad of offensive skill players, and draft any offensive line, team defense, and even special teams units, punter and kicker; it is very thorough. You can choose any season to use for any player/team, so if you want the 2000 Ravens defense, 2006 Ladainian Tomlinson, 2003 Randy Moss and 2004 Peyton Manning, you can choose them(although I highly doubt you will have much if any salary cap room left with all of these :p )

This simulation is so thorough that it takes stamina and durability into account, so if you have a RBBC your guys are less likely to get injured or regress later in the games or seasons. If you have clinched the playoffs, you can rest your coveted starters, just like in the real thing. You can choose how to use your players, kind of like a simulated game in Madden, except I don't think you can choose each play.

Apparently you play one heads up game per day, and in an actual paid league(8.99 per team per season) you have four exhibitions, sixteen regular season matches, and playoffs, exactly like the NFL. This can help satisfy your voracious appetite for football, as we are dead in the middle of the offseason, with months to go before opening kickoff 07. You can either join a public league, or create a league and invite people, just like fantasy. \

I am going to give this a shot; my league starts on Tuesday, and I will fill you in on my experiences for those who are curious but don't want to explore for themselves

Well I tried it, and it was everything you could hope for. It gives you the full box score, with scoring summary, and even play by play if you want to look at it. I ended up losing in OT the first game :p
