Jon Gruden said that Jeff Garcia has a big lead in the competition for the starting QB position in this upcoming season.

I don't see it happening. Gruden is just trying to light a fire under Simms.

I believe him. He went on one hell of a run with Philadelphia last year, basically rebounding his career. I think he still has another good season or two, and the WR talent he has to work with this year isn't much different than what he had in Philly. I haven't seen too much of Simms, but Garcia was proficient in taking over McNasty's spot last year.
