So I thought that I would start a discussion for each game to see if we could get some more people posting in the hockey area....

so my thoughts for game 3 are that Pittsburgh has to step it up....BIG TIME....I think that if they get two wins at home they stand a chance but if they lose one I think it might be over......what are your thoughts on the next two games being at home?

They'll lose at least one in PA and then they're finished. I mean honestly, shut out twice in a row by the Wings and with Malkin playing like such shit....I dont see them pulling it out.

I dont either to be honest....I mean when the wings are in the nuetral zone they are just standing there and not giving the defenseman a chance to move the puck foward....with malkin and crosby being double teamed almost every time they have the puck the other team has to step up but they are just sitting back waiting for something to happen

Game 3 penguins turn it around and actually pull out the win....nice to see them actually get a goal in the series....hopefully the momentum will carry into game 4.....IMO they need both home wins if they have a chance to go back to detroit to win...

they played well gm 3 but not great. There was definatly improvment but at times Detroit still walked all over them. They have to be smarter with their play especially when passing/clearing/carrying the puck into the netural zone.

They still have way too many turnovers in their defensive zone and with a team like Detroit those will come back to haunt you.

and enough bad penalties already. They have a hard enough time scoring 5 on 5, going short handed isn't helping the cause.

Malone, Malkin and Crosby had a great game, Flury let in one soft goal but was stellar when he had to be.

If Staal can pick up the pace on his line and the Pens end up with 3 lines that can get the puck in deep, force turnovers and cycle the puck the Wings might have much closer games than they would like.

What I see the Pens lacking most in the attack zone (other than lack of time in the attack zone) is getting shots on goal and crashing the net for rebounts.

Dirty goals count too! And they have shown that when you get deep into detroit territory they are veunerable. As long as they stop getting shitty penalties in the offensive zone the series could be 2-2 when they return to Detroit.
