computer problem - The Postgame Pub

my neigbor has a laptop with an internal wireless card.

it will not pick up internet on wireless or hooked up to a phone line.

It says it cannot read the IP address.

What could this be?

Other computers work fine on this connection

Has the computer ever been hooked into some other network before? What Kind of Laptop and how old is it?

It's not the connection itself.

Give us more specs on the laptop, and such.

i got my desk top going.

I'm not sure what brand the lap top is but it is really new, maybe a year old.

I'll ask specs this weekend if i see them

Yeah the specs would help and it just sounds like a setting needs unchecked or something
