Need advice *warning* long

Hey guys,
As most of you know, I'm a senior at Clemson University in the Finance program.

I've made it this far and it wasn't too bad, I think. I used to be really smart in high school . Graduated as #13 in my class and all was good.

I'm not that stupid but I'm not that brightest in school anymore.

When it comes to school though, I used to have awful nights and just loose it. I get stressed extermely FAST and really easy. To the point that it hurts me big time in school.

I went to the doctor before and he gave me some pills. I never got a prescription because I've always hated the idea and I grew up no believing in that stuff.

Anyway, for my finance major, I've had to take 1 finance this past semester and 3 accounting classes.

This semester I have 1 accounting course along with 3 finance classes and 1 leadership class.

All of them are fine so far except for the accounting. Today was the 2nd class of accounting.

In all my accounting classes, we've always had multiple choice questions. This class she's giving us free response problems.
I can usually do that because all my HW last semester in accounting was free response.

However it seems like she asks the questions in a really strange manner and hell there are 2 questions on things that we didn't do last semester.

At this point I'm freaking out like crazy and can't concentrate on anything.
Granted I don't know how the class is going to turn out at all yet.

We have groups in this class and we are allowed to work on this crap in groups. Being that we were just assigned this today I don't want to ask my members for help.

Also, I don't feel good asking them for help because I feel like a dumbass and I doubt any of them would want to help, assuming they know how to do it.

I don't know what to do. My parents told me to go get help, pay if I have to. But I don't know. Would people help me out with my HW if I pay them?
I don't want the answers. I just want someone explain to me how I need to go about doing it because I'm really stuck.

I'm so stressed already that I can't sleep. I'm scared shitless of this class right now because I get stressed thinking that HW is gonna take me forever and I will have spent hours and get nothing completed in it.

I don't know if I have a mental problem or just a dumbass or just need to relax and see how the class goes but I'm not doing good right now.

Pete, If you need help in the class just ask someone for help. If doing it all on your own stresses you out, then maybe trying to get someone to help you with it so you dont fall behind. That seems like the better of the two. As far as the meds go, maybe its now a chemical thing but it may be a mental thing. When you start to get pissed off and stressed, take a break for a bit gather your thoughts and continue on.

Yeah, if you need help just ask that is what school is for. You are there to learn and you shouldn't be denied help in anyway.

I got stessed out real bad in my last year of engineering so it might be normal since you realize school is almost over and your getting ready to step that foot out in the real world.

dude, your stressing a bit pre-maturely.

I'd start with asking your partners in the group for a little explination on what you don't understand. After all, if the entire group has an understanding of what your working on you all have a better chance of doing well, there will be no one to hold the group back.

Secondly, if they are dicks and dont want to help (which is highly unlikely) ask the teacher who she would recomend for tuttoring.

There are plenty of people that would be glad to make a few bills just explaining what they already know.

Pete I know how you feel....some of my classes are crazy with work...anyway man go to the proffessor and they are there to help you...I mean if it wasnt for you they would not have a job...

Well class was cancelled the following morning due to the snow. So I got in touch with a buddy of mine that's in the same class and we worked on the homework.

He's REALLY smart and we spent about 3 hours on it and had no fucking idea what the hell she was asking.

Then we went to class the next morning. We had a quiz in which I got an 80 on.

Then she lectured us on how this class is gonna make us struggle and how much of a bitch she is. But she goes this "because we will be prepared for real life and we will like her 5 years from now" complete bullshit if you ask me.

so my group started out with 5 people including myself. 2 people dropped and we are now 3 in teh group. Almost all the other goups out of 13 still have 5 people which is ghay.

One of my team members is going to email her and complain because they can finish work so much faster. She assigns in class work and gives you NO time to finish it. So we'll see what she says about that.

From what I have been hearing from previous students is that as long as you do the work (even incorrectly) you will be fine with the HW because she knows it's HARD AS BALLS and most likely we won't get it right.

I have my first exam this coming Thursday. I guess we'll see how that goes . I feel like I understand the material but she keeps on bringing other stuff from previous classes that is soo hard to remember. Basically I would have to study parts of Acct 311 again and know everything from Acct 312 (I'm in 312 right now)

At this point, I'm praying that I do ALRIGHT in the class. I don't care about making an A anymore. Fucking bitch lol
