Ok guys.. Help me out on this. I posted this question on H-T and want to see if any of you can answer it. Please post your response here not on H-T.

the thicker HG lowers you compression, a lower compression engine has less of a chance of detonation. If you have a good tuner this is something you usually don't have to worry about. However in such a high compression application the added insurance isn't a bad idea
Personally I don't like the idea of high compression turbo'd engines. Too much heat + high compression + cast internals = alot to make me nervous. If I was going to boost a high comp engine I'd super charge it! Honda's oem cast pistons are know for ring land failure in boosted applications. My recomendation is to replace the head gasket! I love insurance when it comes to upgrading an engine especially with 50+ horsepower upgrades. along with the usual fuel system upgrades like pump and injectors replace the fuel rail. This will help even out the fuel supply in the rail among all the injectors. Thus helping to keep temps in all 4 cyl's even to help prevent that nasty ring land melting problem.

ok... you win dude.
But let me add this. The S has forged internals stock. So would running a head gasket really benefit that much? (btw, my local tuner is one of the best in the country so tuning is not an issue)

If it were mine I would replace it, especially if it were my daily driver.
Besides in theory, the more PSI you push the more torque you make right??? And the biggest draw back to an inline 4 cyl is the lack of torque. If you still cant decide on the hg ask your tuner and see what his opnion is on it. As you can tell i've never fooled with any F series engines, especially one from an S...but I'm a technician by trade so anytime I give advice about a build/project I always recomend the safer route. Having a good tuner is great becaue you know the tune will be right on. But what about on extremely hot days or if the gas station you stopped at has a little more ethanol in the fuel than posted or the oct rating is lower than posted? All of these factors can make your car more prone to detonation. The only real high compression boosted engines I've seen/been around were the HYPE R's. Let's just say that the sucess rate of their boosted applicatons left much to be desired. In atleast 1 out of every 5 I hear of or saw a good share of horror stories. And these were on 5-8 psi applications. The internals were all cast so you don't have to worry about that problem. I would definatly do some research on this project. Done right and you will have a real V8 killer on your hands!

the reliability gains from using the thicker head gasket are purely for reducing the compression to lower the chances of detonation. That is it.
The stock head gasket will not have any more chance of blowing than an aftermaket one. People blow stock head gaskets when they boost engines without re-torquing the head bolts. The head bolts can stretch, especially if the engine has high miles on it or has been driven hard or run hot. Blown head gaskets are more common in engines with floating sleeves, not a probelm you will have. In D/B series engines changing you head bolts to ARP head studs is just about manditory to help out with that problem

Mamma said I can start piecing together my turbo kit beginning of next year.
I have a rough idea of what I want. Cast mani. (too much money for 5 whp)lol GT35R. And all custom piping and to top it off I will get a AEM ems. But that is just a rough estimate for now.

I'm in love with the way ITBs sound on an S2K, especially after seeing Pacman's whip in action.
