Im heading to ESPN! - The Postgame Pub

Well, I got the final confirmation phone call today from my boss! I'm heading to Bristol, Connecticut on Saturday to start my internship at ESPN.

As most of you know, I am a Junior at Florida State University, majoring in journalism and hoping to become a sports journalist. My dream job would undoubtedly be a host of an ESPN talk show or radio show so this internship, which will last until September then kick back up next May, will help.

I will be working on the hit show Pardon The Interruption, helping out with just gathering stats, info, and just seeing how everything is put together. I will get to meet and work with Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser, my idols in the sportsworld!

I will also be working and seeing many other shows like Sportscenter, Around the Horn, and Jim Rome is Burning, but I will only be working in depth with PTI.

This internship almost guarantees my foot in the door for later work (after I get my masters at UCF), and I hope it goes well!

Wish me luck! I'll definitely be writing!

I hope you guys can check out my website and just add your two cents to my articles in form of comments! Remember, this is my portfolio, so the more active it gets (with people reading, adding comments) the better I look!

Its just that I want to excel and get people on my site for my future, not for any other reason :P

and JoeyCalz, are you going into Journalism? Where are you going to school?

since it's just an internship, do they pay for like living and stuff like that?

hahah! no clue how internships work if they make you leave your hometown and whatnot

Yea, Im moving from Orlando, Florida to Bristol, Connecticut until September. They are paying for a real nice apartment and transportation for me. As for meals, thats all on me.

When I go back in May for 5 months, they will be giving me the same deal.

Oh, Phi, on my site I added PGP to my "Partner Sites" so hopefully PGP gets more traffic and vise-versa
